Swick Home Services Human Resources and Business Support Specialist in Marquette, Michigan

Swick Home Services is seeking an organized Human Resources and Business Support Specialist to join their team in-person in Marquette, MI. As a Human Resources and Business Support Specialist, you will support employees by managing new hire paperwork, coordinating benefits, and ensuring that they have a clear understanding of company offerings and opportunities. In addition, you will assist the installation department with residential installations by communicating with customers, handling inquiries, scheduling jobs, and performing data entry tasks.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • Starting wage of $21.25 per hour.
  • Full benefits package after 90 days including:

  • Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. No weekends!

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Assist with new hire paperwork and documentation.
  • Coordinate employee benefits (health benefits, 401(k), life insurance).
  • Plan and organize employee parties and events.
  • Schedule and facilitate monthly team meetings.
  • Track and acknowledge employee birthdays and anniversaries.
  • Arrange training trips, including hotel accommodations.
  • Communicate with customers through welcome calls, equipment orders, and inquiry resolution.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction and escalate issues as needed.
  • Schedule and complete daily job confirmation calls per Install Manager's direction.
  • Keep accurate job records and update reports daily.
  • Manage permits, inspections, and related documentation.
  • Perform data entry tasks (purchase orders, inventory counts, warranty registration).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • High school diploma required.
  • Prior experience working in human resources or a related field preferred.
  • Human resource certificates from HCI or SHRM are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and help others.
