Robert Half HR Director in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Description A private, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals seeks a Director of Human Resources. This role entails comprehensive HR responsibilities, including staff recruitment, benefits administration, personnel record-keeping, worker’s compensation, leave management, policy establishment, and compliance with HR laws. The Director ensures all HR functions reflect the organization's values and culture. Key tasks involve managing employment-related inquiries, coordinating disciplinary processes, handling unemployment compensation and worker’s compensation claims, overseeing performance reviews, and reporting key business statistics. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in HRM with 10 years of experience, with a Master’s degree and 3+ years in a leadership role preferred. PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification is highly desired. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Requirements · Full Cycle recruiting · Stays current on all state and federal HR regulations and compliance matters including that of MA DOE. · Maintains EEOC compliant archive of applicant files. · Coordinates employee benefits and communication to staff.. · Manages leaves, COBRA, terminations, and exit interviews. · Oversees handling of employment related inquiries such as employment verification. · Manages unemployment compensation inquiries. · Maintains employee records, keeps current and accurate I-9 records, background investigation results, establishes and implements policies and procedures, and ensures compliance. · Coordinates/manages employee disciplinary process. · Manages worker’s compensation incidents, reporting, and claims. · Records detail oriented development and educational accomplishments. · Oversees performance reviews including recording completion of staff reviews. · Reports monthly on key business statistics as determined by the CEO. · Maintains a culture of fairness, equitability and advocacy that permeates all HR functions
