Main Street Bank Finance Intern (Req 65584) in Marlborough, Massachusetts

SUMMARY: Reporting to an assigned mentor, this position will be structured to give the candidate a foundation of understanding of the goals for the assigned department. You will receive on-the-job training and coaching. This position will provide the ability to apply your learned knowledge and gain experience in a real-world setting for your future growth and development. You can expect to participate in department daily job duties, as well as having an assigned project/deliverables that align with the banks strategic initiatives. Additionally, this position embraces the established service culture to maximize their contribution to the Banks goals. After successful completion of training and proven abilities, this position is eligible for a hybrid/remote work arrangement with an agreed upon number of days per-month on site. SKILLS that will be used and/or learned: -Working towards or have bachelors degree or equivalent with course work in area related to assigned department. -Knowledge of data management and analytics techniques -Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles -Relevant experience within the financial services industry preferred. -Experience with FIS (Metavante/Teller Insight+) and FMS desirable. -Experience with COCC (Insight & iBanking) and Oracle Financials desirable. -Experience with Crystal Reports and other custom reporting tools desirable. -MS Office 365 Suite, (Email, Calendar, Distribution groups, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, and others). -A curious mindset that allows you to constantly learn and challenge the status quo. -Ability to multi- task, organize, work independently, accomplish tasks, and meet deadlines despite interruptions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. -Understanding and application of administration activities with an understanding of office procedures and ability to operate standard office equipment. -Means and mode to travel to Main Street Banks office locations as needed.
