The Revenue Staff Accountant will play a critical role in the accounting department with a focus on revenue recognition, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a thorough understanding of revenue accounting standards, such as ASC 606.

What To Expect:

  • Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Analyze and verify financial information to ensure accurate revenue reporting.

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of revenue recognition policies in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.

  • Review customer contracts and identify revenue-related issues.

  • Collaborate with the sales and legal departments to ensure that revenue-related terms in contracts are compliant with accounting policies.

  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes by providing timely and accurate financial information.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, highlighting revenue streams and trends.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls related to revenue.

  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue accounts.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations, industry trends, and best practices in revenue accounting.

  • Work on special projects and analyses as requested by management.

What We Expect:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on revenue recognition.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles, specifically ASC 606.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment: This role typically operates in an office environment during regular business hours, although some overtime may be required during busy periods such as month-end or year-end close.

Physical Requirements: The position is primarily sedentary, requiring long periods of sitting, as well as frequent use of a computer and other office equipment.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $78,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
