Operation of packaging equipment from start up to maintaining operation and troubleshooting.  Coordinate with co-workers and Quality Assurance Technicians for best quality production.  Utilize time efficiently on the shop floor. Perform as a team for efficient changeovers. Machine set up and corrective action to attain high quality and productivity.  Responsible for packaging film handling, production record keeping on material and machinery usage and downtime.  Bag weight control.  Minimize film waste and product loss. Responsible for changeovers to ensure efficient and effective changeovers.


 

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Training and contributing in areas assigned. | | - Sets up machines correctly, based on outlined requirements from | | our customers. | | - Maintains production and quality records in material usage, | | machine downtime, coordination and communication with | | Supervisors, Warehouse, Maintenance, co-workers, Quality | | Assurance and maintain work area as required. | | - Stays alert to problems with film, materials, quality, | | communication, and utilization of time for themselves and others | | working in the area.  | | - Perform routine cleaning tasks and changeover procedures as | | stated in changeover forms.   | | - Performs other duties as assigned. | | | |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+

 

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | - FDA regulated facility | | - Able to work in a fast paced, non-climate-controlled environment. | | - Ability to identify correct shoulders to be used.  | | - Safety shoes and earplugs are mandatory in designated areas. | | - Elevated and slippery conditions may be present. | | - Must have the manual skill and dexterity to move and work around | | heavy machinery throughout the plant. | | - Must be able to utilize different technology throughout shift, or | | ability to be trained on equipment. | | - Able to work well with co-workers and supervision in a team | | environment. | | - Able to lift and install packaging film weighing up to 75 lbs. | | onto a machine. | | - Detailed oriented with extreme accuracy. | | - Ability to respond quickly and react to situations requiring | | immediate attention. | | - Ability to "trouble shoot" problems with logic and apply | | technical knowledge.  | | - Must abide by all plant rules and food safety regulations, | | including work safety and sanitation rules. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
