The Job:

The Smart Storage Sales Development Program offers a structured start to your personal career path here at Stanley Black & Decker. Over the course of your 3 year tenure in program, you will develop competencies in sales through a variety of experiences focused on brand, product, channel and sales. You will be immersed in the world of our end-users, customers, and business partners. You will develop a broad scope of product knowledge, sales skills, and other experiences through a customized career progression.

In your first two roles (2 years total), you will work out of our Marietta, GA office location in both the capacity of an Inside Sales Representative and a member of our Professional Services Team. You will develop skills in Lead Management, Customer Service, Sales Process, Software Selling, Consultative Selling and build a technical aptitude. You will gain invaluable product, customer and system knowledge that will prepare you for your final role in program.

Following success in the first two roles, you’re eligible to advance into your final role (3rd year) which will be field based as a Territory Sales Associate (TSA). As a TSA you will work alongside the local Territory Sales Managers in achieving the overall sales organizational goals. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to hone the skills you learned in your previous roles to manage a sales territory and grow market share.

We're looking for an individual who is self-motivated, goal-oriented, successful when working in both a team-based environment and independently. We're also looking for someone who is persuasive in the use of selling skills, a solutions provider and good communicator. You also will need to be able to build and maintain positive customer relationships and work with diverse personalities.

• Early career experience (3 years or less)

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred

• Willingness to relocate within the United States (year 1-2 in Marietta, GA and year 3 in US)

• Must be willing to travel regionally, work occasional weekends (8-10 Annually)

• Valid Drivers License/ Pass MVR check

• Self-motivated, driven towards results

• Flexible towards change and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Competitive and innovative nature

• Track record of leadership achievement

• Proven desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
