Andretti Indoor Karting & Games Character Performer in Marietta, Georgia

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Character Performer to join the team at our XXXX location

  • We start our non-tipped entry level positions at $15 per hour!

    POSITION SUMMARY

    An Andretti Character Performer is an hourly associate who will generate a fun and exciting atmosphere to all guests in a themed racing costume. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.  The ideal candidate should be between 5'10" to 6'1" tall to properly fit the suit.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interact and responds to Guests in a friendly and positive manner.

  • Work well with children of all ages and personalities.

  • Assist with special events such as birthday parties and outside public engagements

  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.

  • Work as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.

  • Attends all required department and company meetings and training sessions

  • Ensure proper maintenance of the robot costume ensure it is kept in good shape and stored away properly.

    Skills & Requirements

  • Prior guest service experience is preferred, and certain skill sets may be required depending on position

  • An acting or performing background is preferred

  • Project an outgoing, positive personality as well as spontaneity when interacting with others

  • For best fit within the costume, the candidate should be between 5'10" to 6'1" tall with a slender body type, the costume used is designed for a average/tall male body frame and has limited adjustability

  • Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills

  • Work days, nights, holidays, and weekends

  • Comfortable with interior and exterior work including temperature changes

    Physical Requirements

    The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Walk or stand for extended periods of time

  • Stand on elevated platform for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis

  • Perform functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and stocking up to 50lbs

  • The ability to communicate quickly and accurately

  • The work environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds

  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

  • Be able to understand, follow and maintain safety standards at all times
