Position Overview:

The Case Manager will provide guidance to supervisors and staff regarding compliance requirements of the AbilityOne Program. The Case Manager will implement and execute AbilityOne programs and policies from the AbilityOne Commission and SourceAmerica ensuring the Tommy Nobis Center remains compliant. The Case Manager will lead preparation and follow-up actions for all SourceAmerica and Commission AbilityOne audits. This role is responsible for initial and annual certifications. Documentation of the certification will be maintained and constantly ready for auditing.

The Case Manager, responsible for our vocational rehabilitation staff will perform semi-annual internal audits on our AbilityOne certification process and documentation. This role is responsible for staff training and maintaining all AbilityOne policies. The Case Manager for vocational rehabilitation will lead Nobis Enterprises’ engagement with our AbilityOne teammates and provide individual job customization and planning to prepare them for upward and outward advancement from the AbilityOne program to competitive employment. The Case Manager will provide Nobis Enterprises’ supervisors and leadership with instructions on how to assist our AbilityOne teammates with their mentorship and job training to prepare them for career advancement. The Case Manager will lead or assist the Tommy Nobis Center with preparation for other audits or inspections. These inspections and audits may include but are not limited to Cleaning Industry Management Standard-Green Building (CIMS-GB) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as needed.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of individualized job customization plans for advancement for all AbilityOne employees as well as tracking progress toward the plan. Will provide AbilityOne employees with individual attention and guidance to help them navigate work situations impacted by their disabilities.

  • Will establish Nobis Enterprises’ Career Advancement Program and Person-Centered Employment Plans (PCEP) to include job customizations for all AbilityOne employees.

  • Responsible for initial AbilityOne Individual Eligibility Evaluation (IEE) certifications and annual recertifications.

  • Responsible for Nobis Enterprises’ AbilityOne audits by the AbilityOne Commission and SourceAmerica.

  • Responsible for writing AbilityOne policies and procedures for TNC that are aligned with current and new Commission policies

  • Responsible for initial certification and annual recertification (IEE) of all NE AbilityOne employees. Must ensure proper medical and AbilityOne documentation are received and maintained for audit.

  • TNC’s POC to SourceAmerica/Commission on all things AbilityOne compliance

    • Failure of the audits would make us ineligible for new AbilityOne contracts for a lengthy period.
  • Semi-annual 100% internal IEE audits on paperwork—documenting the internal audits.

  • Will also lead or assist TNC staff on other certification efforts such as CIMS-GB and CARF.

  • Responsible for Nobis Enterprises’ AbilityOne compliance program.

  • Develop NE’s Career Advancement Program and Person-Centered Employment Plans (PCEP) for all NE AbilityOne employees

  • Meets with AbilityOne teammates and their supervisors as necessary to help ensure successful completion of the Career Advancement Program and the PCEP.

  • Will perform as the subject matter expert (SME) for all AbilityOne Commission and SourceAmerica policies and procedures and provide business advice to leadership.

  • Will perform semi-annual internal audits on our processes and documentation.

  • Develops and maintains strong and effective business relationships with the SourceAmerica and Commission Regulatory and Audit teams. Stewards excellent customer service and positive, productive relationships with AbilityOne teammates, supervisors and TNC leadership.

  • Will provide NE supervisors and leadership with advice and recommendations on execution of the Career Advancement Program and PCEPs.

  • Ensures efficiency of compliance program delivery and the meeting of program metrics.

  • Oversees the activity of assigned programs monitoring progress and implements changes as needed to meet goals.

  • Sets a positive example and drives our core values: mission-driven, accountability, innovation, integrity and fun.

  • Works closely with staff in other departments engaged in compliance, audits or certifications.

  • Is a cultural champion for the organization fostering an environment of trust, alignment, transparency and accountability.

  • Represents Tommy Nobis Center in meetings with SourceAmerica and the Commission.

  • Implements safety regulations, company policies and procedures as required by management.

  • Leads or assists with other agency audits or certifications as assigned.

Required Experience: Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Education or related field required; Masters degree preferred.

  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) preferred but not required.

  • 4 years’ experience in rehabilitation, intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health or related field in program management required.

  • Experience with federal contracting is desired.

  • Knowledge of the AbilityOne programming desired.

Qualifications:

  • Must successfully pass a background check; including drug screen.

  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Minimal travel may be required.
