The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) As the EMSD’s Senior Product Development Manager in semiconductor’s Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) group you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Product Innovation: Drive the ideation, conceptualization, and development of cutting-edge new products leveraging market insights that will reshape the industry landscape supporting 3M’s CMP segment within semiconductor portfolio.

• Technical Excellence: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the R&D team, fostering professional growth and development.

• Customer-Centric Approach: Infuse customer insights and feedback into the product development process, creating products that not only meet market needs but exceed customer expectations.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, including Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to ensure seamless product integration, launch, and commercial success.

• Building Transformational New Product Platforms: Build deep collaborations with our partner research organizations (i.e. CRL, 3M Ventures, external universities) to facilitate building and transferring new technology platforms to enable future growth.

• Intellectual Property: Drive the creation and protection of intellectual property through patent applications and strategic partnerships.

• Strategic Partnerships: Forge and nurture strategic collaborations with industry leaders, research institutions, and technology partners to amplify our capabilities and accelerate product development timelines.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

• Three (3) years of product development, commercialization, product engineering, project engineering, project management experience in a private, public, government or military environment

• Two (2) years of experience in people management in a technical environment in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrated track record in significant contributions to an organization through growth initiatives.

• Three (3) years process development experiences in semiconductor industry.

• Understanding of semiconductor processes; CMP process knowledge DOE, data analysis and pertinent lab metrology equipment

• Collaborative interpersonal style with experience in leading teams.

• Strong communication skills, proven ability to develop and maintain productive networks within the 3M technical community with demonstrated ability to influence.

Work location:

• Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
