Fairview Health Services RN Cardiology Special Procedure in Maplewood, Minnesota

Overview

Fairview Health Services is hiring a RN Cardiology Special Procedures for our St Johns Hospital in Maplewood, MN and Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN locations.

Provides patient care to clients across all acute care sites using all modalities of stress testing, transesophageal echocardiograms, CTA and stress MRI. Works closely with noninvasive cardiology team and cardiologist to provide safe care for both inpatients and outpatients.

Schedule : This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day shift Monday-Friday, 1 day off during the week to be determined based on department schedule needs.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.

  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

  • Utilizes nursing process by: planning, implementing and evaluating care given to assigned patients.

  • Assists physicians with special procedures including admission, sedation and discharging of both inpatients and outpatients.

  • Assists physicians with special procedures including admission, sedation and discharging of both inpatients and outpatients.

  • Monitors flow of day to day operations at site in conjunction with other charge RNs at other acute care sites.

  • RN Core Competencies - Assessment, Planning, Evaluation: Collects and analyses pertinent data and/or clinical findings.

  • Incorporates clinical findings and scientific evidence in the development, coordination and implementation of an individualized plan of care to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Evaluates progress towards goals and outcomes identifying opportunities for improvement and change.

Qualifications

Required

  • RN Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 years critical care experience

  • Experience in providing conscious sedation

Credentials Required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)- could be acquired during orientation

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Registered Nurse MN (RN)

Preferred

  • Cardiac experience required
