Here, you will make an impact by:Leading efforts to improve the Design Control process.Ensuring alignment of the Design Control process across the global team.Identifying opportunities for more efficient uses of bench testing and/or modeling.Working with product teams to align design documentation with manufacturing specifications.Analyzing test data to understand correlations and identify redundancies.Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to clearly describe the Design Control process.Other duties as assigned.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.ORHigh School Diploma/GED AND four (4) combined years of engineering, manufacturing, and/or project management in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: product engineering, product commercialization, product research and development, and/or manufacturing experience in the medical device industryExperience with the effective execution of change management, root cause analysis, issue resolution and/or managing corrective and preventative actionsExperience writing design control documentationMedical device and/or Quality Management System (QMS) experience such as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Quality System Regulation (QSR) and/or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485Demonstrated experience utilizing project management techniques to lead cross functional teams in projects that drive improvement and proven resultsExperience collaborating with laboratory, quality and/or manufacturing colleagues in other regions of the worldExperience with test method development, material property data collection and/or setting specifications and translating into product requirementsSupporting complaint, plant on-conformance, and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) investigations, as well as external quality system and technical auditsStatistical knowledge and practice [e.g., Design of Experiments (DOE), sampling, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Product & Process Understanding (PPU), Lean manufacturing, etc.]Work location:Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to St. Paul, MN at least 2 days per week)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
