Summary: We are seeking a skilled Operational Technology Systems Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support existing or new endpoint devices, systems infrastructure, systems and endpoint management solutions, business services, and cyber-security programs specific to our power supply division and generating plant sites. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and performance of our industrial control systems and supporting our operational and security goals.

Total Rewards:

A typical starting range for this position is $110,000 - $129,000 + annually. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide planning and design of systems infrastructure, architecture, and endpoints for new systems/technologies and enhancements to support plant operations and maintenance.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

  • Develop project plans with timelines and deliverables for plant systems.

  • Recommend and implement standard architectures, designs, and configurations.

  • Participates in architecture and security reviews and advocate for compliance with security policies and practices.

  • Provide technical support of systems infrastructure and endpoints to ensure operational excellence.

  • Manage upgrades and hardware/software patches with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while maintaining business availability needs.

  • Create and maintain documentation and diagrams related to systems architecture and design and endpoint standard and configurations.

  • Identify requirements for automated system alerts and monitoring.

  • Offer support during emergencies and after business hours as needed.

  • Administer production, development, and test (QA) systems including backup and recovery, problem analysis, and resolution.

  • Support endpoint hardware and business applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Build, test, deploy, and maintain standard operating system images, and manage operating system patches.

  • Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and security patch management.

  • Research and evaluate new technologies for applicability and feasibility.

    Qualifications: · A bachelor’s degree in a technology related field and 7+ years’ experience building and supporting technology infrastructure or 2+ years post high school education or applicable training in a technology related field and 9+ years’ experience building and supporting technology infrastructure.

· Strong knowledge of systems infrastructure, endpoint management, and cybersecurity practices.

· Experience with industrial control systems, network security, and disaster recovery planning.

· Proficiency in project management and technical documentation.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective solutions.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Working c onditions:

Normal office conditions with occasional visits to other GRE and partner sites as required . Conditions may include exposure to noise, vibration, dirt, and dust. Conditions may include long periods of sitting, using a keyboard or mouse, and reading a PC monitor. Provide on-call support for emergencies outside of normal office hours by telephone and/or on-site . Frequent travel to power plants is required and m ay be expected to travel occasionally to attend training and conferences. Required to wear personal protective equipment as needed . Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. This position is designated as a safety sensitive position for drug, cannabis and alcohol testing purposes .
