We at Fairview Health Services are seeking for a Clinic Surgery Scheduler to join the hard working Women's Health team at our Maple Grove Ambulatory Care Center. We have approved this position for 80 hours every two weeks and it is benefit eligible! Responsibilities Job Description

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for serving patients, providers, and staff in facilitating access to surgical services, tests, procedures, etc. at the direction of the care provider. The Surgery Scheduler coordinates the flow and exchange of information related to patient activity and performs a variety of complex surgical registration and scheduling functions, as well as other functions that meet the needs of surgical patient care.

  • Coordinates the flow and exchange of information related to scheduling of surgical services.

  • Performs appropriate registration and scheduling functions, via computer system, including initial entry of demographic information, insurance information, referring physician data, and exam information

  • Schedules services such as pre-op workups, tests, procedures, follow-up visits and any other services the patient may require as taken from Doctor’s orders.

Qualifications

Required

  • One year of registration & scheduling within an electronic medical record environment.

Preferred

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Practical Nursing Program

  • One to three years of registration & scheduling within an electronic medical record environment including scheduling surgical cases.

  • CMA or LPN
