2148 West 4th St,Ontario,Ohio,44906-1200,United States of America DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Mid Ohio Dialysis Center in Ontario, OH. We will train you! Some details about this position: Operational Hours: MWF 4:30am - 8:00pm PCTs expected shifts for this clinic: 3-4 days/week with a minimum of two Saturdays/month and can be asked to start as early as 4:00 am Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday Paid training: DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of classroom and hands on training. Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license Our PCTs also find DaVita professionally fulfilling. Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic with a class of new teammates other than your assigned home clinic Requirements: You are reliable, love to learn, have a desire to help people, are looking for a career with a company you can grow with, are comfortable with early shifts and long hours on your feet, and love a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent Must be comfortable working around blood and needles Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients. Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed. Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification. Performs and records vital signs and all other parameters of ESKD patients as per DaVita policy and/or state regulations; obtains blood samples and culture specimens and prepares for shipment. 25%: Under guidance of nurse and/or preceptor sets up and monitors dialysis machines and reverse osmosis ("RO") water system for correct functioning, responds to visual and audible alarms and makes appropriate adjustments before, during and after the dialysis treatment, performs safety checks as directed by the registered nurse. Dismantles, cleans and disinfects dialysis machines and equipment in accordance to DaVita procedures; performs appropriate end of therapy terminal cleaning and disinfection of the dialysis equipment with guidance of nurse and/or preceptor. 20%: Collects patient data and reports to nurse and/or preceptor as needed related to: Monitoring and documenting status of vascular accesses Documenting patient observations and seeks guidance when levels are out of normal range
