The Role :

The Porter position is responsible for the delivery, maintaining, stocking, cleaning and ensuring that there is a sufficient supply of products in the venue. Services to include assistance in setting up and/or breaking down functions periodically or as needed.

• Wash es all c hina, glass , and silverware .

• Clean s all equipment, pots , and pans pre, during, and post - e vent .

• Store s all equipment in proper locations.

• Sweep s and mop all floors in the kitchen /office areas .

• Maintain s a clean and safe working environment .

• Practice s safe work habits, follow s all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, complete s company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training .

• Transport s food and equipment throughout the venue as needed.

• Monitor s cleaning supply stock levels per venue need s .

• Ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly .

• Performs and assists with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility .

• Ensures that requisitions are delivered in a timely manner .

• Assis ts with deliveries and stocking storeroom and side stations .

• Assist s members in a timely, efficient and professional manner .

• Fulfill s the assigned opening and closing duties as assigned by the Chef .

• Performs o ther duties as assigned by management .

  Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to read, speak and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests

• Ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions

• Must be punctual and dependable

• Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards

• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred

• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from management

• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting

$18-$20 per hour
