Independent Group Home Living Driver in Manorville, New York
The Driver is responsible for the care and safety of the consumers we transport.RESPONSIBILITIES:E-Connotes Essential FunctionsE-1Maintains the health, welfare and safety of all passengers assigned to the vehicle.E-2Pre-checks and post-checks vehicle each time vehicle is driven.E-3Transports consumers from their residence to their day program and ensures all passengers are wearing their seat belts.E-4Conducts walk-through procedures and headcount to make sure that all individuals are safely off the bus.E-5Assists the aide in any emergency.E-6Assists the aide in the loading and unloading of all passengers and in placing the passengers in seats most appropriate to their needs.E-7Submits all necessary paperwork to the office on a daily basis.E-8Obtains gas in vehicle without passengers on the bus.E-9Obtains instructions from Assistant Director of Transportation in the event that no one is home at drop off time.E-10Picks up and drops off aide daily.11-Ensures that all doors are closed and locked if no aide is on board.12-Responsible to maintain cleanliness of interior/exterior of vehicle.13-Adheres to proper dress code.14-Follows driver requirements.15-Adheres to all safety policies and procedures, including reporting traffic infractions and accidents within 24 hours.16-All other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:A.Valid and clean NYS driver’s licenseB.High School Diploma/GEDC.Complete and maintain SCIP and Adult CPR certification, as per IGHL policy.D.Able to lift at least fifty pounds at least five times per hourE.Able to sit for four hours at a timeF.Able to stand and bend throughout the dayG.Enthusiastic team player that can handle stressful situations professionally with ease
Minimum Salary: 18.54 Maximum Salary: 18.54 Salary Unit: Hourly
