Preparing surfaces: This involves cleaning, sanding, and sometimes blasting metal surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion. Taping off areas that do not receive the paint during the painting process. Applying paint: Using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, apply paint to metal parts, ensuring even coverage and a smooth finish. Inspecting finished products: Check the quality of work, ensuring that the paint job meets specifications and that there are no defects. Follow job ticket instructions to complete tasks. Maintaining equipment: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining their painting equipment, including spray guns and paint booths. Following safety procedures: Must adhere to safety guidelines to protect themselves and others. Moving parts around the shop using forklifts or other equipment.
