Job Description

A small school district near Colorado Springs, CO is looking for a School Counsellor for the current 24 - 25 school year for two Elementary Schools. The School Counsellor position can be modified to work full time or part time and can be converted to a social worker with proper credentialling. The main portion of this role will include developing and managing a counselling program by using evidence-based strategies to promote positive social and academic skills. Responsibilities include facilitating individual and group counselling sessions, tracking, and reporting attendance, communicating with families regarding test results/behavior intervention strategies/and overall academic success. Other responsibilities may include working with the concussion management program, 504 plans. The school year has already begun and is 181 days total. This position can be set up as a contract or Permanent opportunity depending on the career goals of the individual applying. The school districts goal is to use a solutions oriented approach to remove barriers for students to access to education, and they are looking for a candidate who will take initiative while staying within the schools set regulations.

Able to complete a fingerprint and background check
