INF Associates LLC Senior Energy Engineer in Manhattan, New York

INF Associates is looking to fill a new Senior Energy Engineer position on our energy solutions and building decarbonization team. The role will support energy management and turnkey project work for a diverse portfolio of customers in metro-NYC and beyond. Beyond day-to-day energy management consulting, the Senior Energy Engineer will guide clients through development and implementation of projects to support their sustainability goals and decarbonize their building operations. The role calls for a well-rounded professional with strong written and verbal communication skills, broad technical abilities, business development experience, and an ambitious personality in a fast-growing firm.

Role Description

Support customers with on-site energy management services, including the performance of energy audits, retro-commissioning, engineering feasibility studies, energy data management, and energy master plan development.

Design and specify mechanical and electrical energy solutions with a quantified technical basis and build a business case to present to owners, including cost estimating and economic analysis. Support construction management and project close-out as needed.

Lead and mentor junior engineers and manage team workloads and assignments.

Support INFs incentives management team to capture incentives and rebates for building energy projects of all kinds.

Fully understand various manufacturer equipment packages to specify for project design according to the specific needs of the application.

Coordinate and manage projects with clients, partners, and contractors.

Attend client presentations, meetings, and discussions to refine projects based on owners requirements and gain approval to proceed.

Be flexible on learning and supporting new responsibilities as the role evolves and new opportunities arise.

Skills & Experience Requirements

Must have at least a Bachelors degree in Engineering.

Must have at least 5 years of professional experience working in energy management and/or energy engineering.

Must have Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Professional Engineer (PE), or commissioning/retro-commissioning certification.

Knowledge of and experience with NYC energy laws and energy code.

Experience coordinating with manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

Experience building templates/using existing calculations for energy savings calculations, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Experience evaluating and prioritizing capital projects, operational changes and upgrades that result in reduced energy and demand.

Experience performing technical feasibility studies and writing reports, including Energy Master Plans.

Experience giving technical presentations to building owners and/or managers.

Knowledge of utility incentive programs and equipment qualification requirements.

Ability to work under tight timelines and schedules and balance multiple projects at the same time.

Salary: $115K-$135K/year
