Position Summary
A key member of the Information Technology team reporting to the Director of Business Applications and working closely with) IT colleagues, vendors, and others. Participates in new project efforts, software updates, new feature implementation, data management, reporting, and anything necessary or required to enhance the productivity and efficiency of Children’s Aid
Essential Duties
Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures
Liaise with business units and master current business processes and applications
Identify and learn applications and tools used and supported by the organization and IT
Participate in functional design and requirements/needs analysis
Prepare appropriate documents – BRD, Use Cases, Process Flows, UA test cases, Traceability Matrices, program, system, operational and Business user documentation as required
Perform or assist in application configuration and deployments
Participate in the design, development, and delivery of training programs and individual classes
Execute and document the testing necessary to ensure an application or technical environment meets performance requirements (technical, functional, and Business user interface)
Ensure new software, related fixes and/or enhancements are tested successfully by key Business/program areas and supporting IT areas.
Analyze and correct functionality problems. Identify new methods of improving performance and stability
Work closely with vendors, staff, and others to resolve application issues
Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved
Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including successful and unsuccessful decisions and actions taken, through to final resolution
Communicate application problems and issues to key business and IT stakeholders
Apply excellent interpersonal communications and collaboration skills to help achieve the goals of a high-performing, motivated team
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
BS/BA in Business
Minimum 3 year’s experience working with Applications and productivity tools in mid to large size organizations
Strong understanding of technology and its impact
Expertise with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, OneDrive, and Sharepoint), BA Methodologies, and documentation including, use cases, Process flow, and UAT
Understanding of SDLC and project life cycle management, experience with reporting tools a plus
Experience with MS-SQL Server & SSRS reporting a plus
Knowledge of Python a plus
