rAbout This Role:

The Department of Anatomy & Physiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Research Assistant. This individual will have the responsibility to plan and conduct experiments under the supervision of the PI, keep laboratory records, help the PI to prepare research proposal and manuscripts, and monitor and order laboratory supplies.

What You\'ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year working experience in viral disease diagnostic assay and/or vaccine development research
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Working experience in a BSL-2 research facility with swine viral pathogen diagnosis, virus-host interaction, swine pathology training, and developing molecular diagnostic methods

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

\$18.86 - \$32.05 per hour
