Strategic Account Consultant

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of the Elevance Health Pulse Point location in Manchester, NH.

The Strategic Account Consultant is responsible for new business acquisitions, based on business size and scope, and provides a consultative sales approach to Individual, Small, and/or Large Groups, which is in line with client and company objectives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Achieves new business targets for all lines of business through advanced execution of sales process.

  • Cultivates deep trust-based relationships and develops a comprehensive understanding of client needs and priorities.

  • Acts as a consultative collaborative partner with brokers, consultants, and key decision-makers. Develops and implements strategic business plans to address broker/client needs.

  • Conducts broker, agency, and client education on pertinent topics and anticipates potential client needs related to these topics.

  • Coordinates with internal partners to meet and exceed client expectations, driving opportunities for additional growth and product sales.

  • Ability to learn and have a solid understanding of the industry and products at the local, state, and federal levels; continuously updates knowledge in a rapidly changing environment.

  • With limited supervision and guidance, provides a consultative sales approach to Individual, Small, and/or Large Groups, which is in line with client and company objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 4 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Sales license required within 60 days of hire.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry is preferred.

  • Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders, as a subject matter expert, and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties highly preferred.

  • Proven ability to resolve complex issues in a fast-paced and high-demand environment is strongly preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams, and Salesforce highly preferred.

  • Experience with office tools, cloud-based software, social media & collaboration tools are strongly preferred.
