Job Summary and Qualifications

The Perfusionist provides comprehensive perfusion services and ensures the safe management of cardiopulmonary function during any medical situations to adolescents who are adult size, adult and older adult populations that requires cardiovascular support. The Perfusionist monitors and adequately maintains normal physiologic function during cardiopulmonary bypass. The Perfusionist provides comprehensive blood conservation practices, and actively participates in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement plans to enhance the Perfusion Services Total Quality Care Program.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science or Allied Health

Experience:

• Two years’ experience in the field or cardiac perfusion.

Licensure/Certification:

• Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
