A Production Painter is responsible for applying paint and coatings to military components, ensuring they meet specific standards for durability and corrosion resistance. Here are some key aspects of the role:

1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking off areas that should not be painted. This ensures a smooth and clean surface for painting.
2. Mixing Paints: Prepare paint mixtures according to specifications, which may involve precise measurements and following specific instructions to achieve desired colors and properties.
3. Application Techniques: Use various methods to apply paint, such as spraying, brushing, or dipping, depending on the type of equipment and the requirements for the finish.
4. Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards, including thickness, texture, and adherence to specifications for color and finish.
5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling paints, coatings, and related chemicals. This includes wearing appropriate protective equipment and ensuring proper ventilation.
6. Documentation: Maintain records of paint usage, colors, and any other relevant documentation related to the painting process.
7. Teamwork: Coordinate with other members of the manufacturing team to ensure production schedules are met and to address any issues that may arise during the painting process.
8. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance painting processes, efficiency, and quality.

Minimum 2 years experience with CARC coatings, HVLP guns and high solids material preferred.
