JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State Great Valley LaunchBox is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our director in various administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a knack for social media management, and experience in customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Depending upon the candidate, this opening will be either primarily remote or hybrid. In either case, occasional needs to be on campus, including bi-weekly in-person meetings at the Penn State Great Valley campus, will be required.

The hours for this opening will typically be 20 per week and the expected pay rate is $20-25 per hour. Job Duties Scheduling Support:

Manage and coordinate the director's calendar, including scheduling meetings with entrepreneurs, events, and appointments. Social Media Management:

Assist in managing the LaunchBox's social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).

Create and schedule posts, track engagement, and report on social media performance. Reporting:

Compile, format, and distribute regular reports related to LaunchBox activities, events, and metrics.

Assist in gathering data for grant reporting and other reporting needs. CRM Management:

Update and maintain the LaunchBox's CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date contact information.

Assist with tracking communications, follow-ups, and other CRM-related tasks. Event Planning and Execution:

Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of LaunchBox events, both virtual and on-site.

Coordinate logistics, and ensure smooth operation of events. Assist with budget and Expense Processing:

Assist with LaunchBox purchasing and expense processing. General Administrative Support:

Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, including email correspondence, file management, and document preparation primarily for the Penn State Great Valley LaunchBox and occasionally for other departments on campus. Requirements and Qualifications

Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably with some experience in social media management, CRM systems, and event planning.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with social media platforms.

Experience or willingness to learn generative AI tools and their applications in a professional setting.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.

Flexibility to attend meetings and events on-site at Penn State Great Valley, including bi-weekly meetings with LaunchBox Director. Work Environment

This opening will be primarily remote or hybrid, requiring a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace.

Bi-weekly on-site meetings at the Penn State Great Valley campus are required.
