Vanguard Leader of Creative Agency Managers in Malvern, Pennsylvania

This leadership role is essential in steering a team of Creative Agency Managers who specialize in deploying sophisticated project management technology solutions within Vanguard’s in-house agency, RED. The leader will enhance efficiency and market responsiveness by harnessing advanced technology and automation, ensuring uniformity in processes.

This role requires hands-on resolution of technical issues, forward-thinking in technological solution development, and leading the team towards cutting-edge practices. A key responsibility will be to ensure optimal technical utilization of Workfront across all operations. The role demands a robust executive presence, proficient communication skills at all levels, and extensive expertise in managing creative talent, implementing technology-driven solutions, and automating intricate marketing operations data. The successful candidate will establish strong enterprise-wide relationships, tackle fundamental challenges, and consistently integrate new technological advancements and industry insights.

Hiring and Team Development:

  • Recruit, evaluate, and manage team members, guiding and training them to bolster their technical competencies.

  • Design and execute technical training programs for all marketing tools.

  • Set automated, quantifiable objectives to enhance team efficiency, performance, and quality.

  • Continuously inform the business of the progress of creative services projects and initiatives through automated reporting tools.

  • Educate the team on effectively communicating the advantages of processes to partners and stakeholders.

    Leadership and Strategic Oversight:

  • Lead with authority, highlighting the essential role of Creative Agency Managers and the creative prowess within RED.

  • Collaborate with the Creative Operations Technical Leader and MarTech to anticipate and adapt to technological advancements proactively.

  • Keep SLA documents, assumptions, processes, and best practices current, ensuring transparent communication of any changes.

  • Guide Creative Agency Managers with a focus on technical root-cause analysis and enhancing operational efficiency.

  • Manage compliance and reporting to ensure all content adheres to legal standards.

    Project Management and Communication:

  • Efficiently manage and prioritize projects from both divisional and enterprise perspectives.

  • Continuously enhance processes by integrating state-of-the-art technological solutions.

  • Address risks, issues, and change requests, escalating them as necessary.

  • Maintain clear communication regarding project standards and readiness, providing detailed justifications and requirements.

  • Handle rapid response communications to manage urgent content issues promptly.

    Technical Acumen and Innovation:

  • Demonstrate deep technical expertise in Workfront and a sophisticated understanding of creative agency workflows.

  • Keep updated with the latest technologies, products, and trends in project management and marketing, aiming for innovative advancements in MRM technology and team processes.

  • Employ AI technologies in the creative process to boost process efficiencies and accelerate market readiness.

  • Balance technical capabilities with strategic business objectives.

  • Explore solutions within the Vanguard ecosystem, guided by both technical and strategic considerations.

  • Develop financial acumen within yourself and your team to thoroughly understand project nuances and requirements.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop strategic relationships with business partners at all levels.

  • Conduct regular project meetings and ensure ongoing, proactive communication with the project team and peer groups.

  • Set and manage expectations for workflow, timing, and communications to ensure successful partnerships.

  • Establish strategic alliances in MarTech, IT, and related groups to leverage collective expertise.

    Change Management:

  • Implement and mentor advanced change management strategies, fostering a culture open to change.

  • Document and communicate changes effectively to a broad audience.

  • Identify and remedy communication gaps.

    Resource Management and Coordination:

  • Prioritize rapid delivery, high-quality outputs, and team well-being.

  • Assess and define the scope of work for various roles throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Dynamically adjust resources in response to project shifts.

  • Build effective relationships, resolve conflicts, and foster consensus.

  • Align tasks and resources to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a creative or marketing agency, previous leadership experience required.

  • Extensive knowledge and technical expertise in Workfront, with a strong background in Adobe products and at least five years’ experience in Workfront.

  • Comprehensive understanding of legal and compliance issues related to creative content.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with Fusion is a plus.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Adobe Workfront certification is required.

    This role is designed for a visionary leader who can seamlessly integrate strategic management with hands-on technical expertise to guide a team towards exceptional achievements in creative project management.

    This role is part of our hybrid work model with Tuesdays – Thursdays required in our offices to foster collaboration and relationships. On Mondays and Fridays, our crew will have the option to work remotely, or continue working from our office in Malvern PA.
