Job Description Summary

The Data Intelligence Business Partner is responsible for supporting and advancing Endo’s commercial data intelligence platforms. In this client-facing role, the incumbent will foster a collaborative relationship between IT and key internal stakeholders within the Patient Access, Insights, and Analytics functions.

The Director oversees the operations and lifecycle management of IT capabilities, both internally and externally supported, and provides recommendations for enhancements or modifications to operational processes. The incumbent will direct the work product of Endo’s application support and maintenance provider ensuring appropriate priority and quality standards have been achieved.

The Director implements projects in alignment with the multi-year technology strategy, ensuring the portfolio of capabilities support the Commercial business strategy and align with other IT roadmaps and requirements. Working collaboratively and cross functionally, the incumbent will ensure IT capabilities incorporate requirements from legal, compliance, privacy, and security.

The incumbent will lead efforts to innovate and optimize data intelligence capabilities, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements. Artificial intelligence is of significant importance; passion for exploring new technologies is required to be successful in the role.

IT develops and maintains a team of high-performing and collaborative IT professionals. The role requires fostering a positive team culture and coaching for performance, inclusive of full-time employees, contractors, and 3rd party service providers.

Scope of Authority

  • Functional area OpEx and project capital

  • Management of Commercial (Client) budgets where appropriate; influence and direct stakeholder spend

  • Determining and maintaining correct staff composition (employees and consultants.)

Key Accountabilities -

Business Partnering

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for selected Commercial business areas.

  • Collaborates with the business partners in identifying strategic direction / solutions for enabling processes and extending current tools to increase value proposition.

  • Works with leaders to understand the core capabilities needed to drive business results and translate into actionable programs for functional teams.

  • Responsible for the successful operations of the Commercial application portfolio.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding regarding all Commercial processes to conduct effective analysis and support business decisions.

  • Analyze business solutions to address Commercial issues based on an understanding of our current business processes and future business needs.

Project Management

  • Provide project leadership for major strategic initiatives.

  • Build alliances with external and internal partners to enhance the effectiveness of the business functions and to ensure alignment on objectives and metrics.

  • Ensure projects align with Business/Technology Roadmaps and appropriate trade off decisions are made across Commercial.

Operational Execution

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day technology operations activities performed by internal FTEs, and 3rd party suppliers (onshore and offshore.)

  • Identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing performance data and comparing to industry norms and best practices.

Supplier Management

  • Ensure supplier contracts for projects and operational activities are in alignment with the needs of the commercial business and IT.

  • Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and changes in expectations/scope; providing feedback where appropriate and amending contracts as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Information Science, Technology, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of IT experience.

  • 5+ years specifically in support of a pharmaceutical Commercial organization, preferably with a branded pharmaceutical company.

  • 5+ years of budget oversight and management of key vendors.

  • Significant experience as an IT leader in a business partner role influencing direction and deploying technology solutions.

  • Experience supporting the following functional teams is required:

  • Sales Operations

  • Patient Access or equiv.

  • Insights and Analytics

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of commercial business intelligence solutions (ex. Tableau, Snowflake, Matillion)

  • High awareness of healthcare technology trends.

  • Strong technology orientation with a passion for technology.

  • Knowledge of development methodologies for strategies and technology plans.

Skills & Abilities

  • Outstanding communication skills; strong interpersonal and teaming skills.

  • Ability to direct without authority, influence members across the organization.

  • Ability to collaborate and drive transformational change.

  • Superior IT operations management skills and experience.

  • Ability to collaborate and establish relationships between technical and non-technical teams.

  • Ability to manage off-shore application teams.
