UVM Health Network - Alice Hyde Medical Center Director, Radiology & Cardiopulmonary Services in Malone, New York
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Primary function is daily oversight of the radiology and cardiopulmonary departments at Alice Hyde Medical Center. Under the supervision of the AVP of Support and Professional Services and the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Radiology and Cardiopulmonary Services is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff including, building schedules, compiling quality reports, completing payroll, holding staff meetings, and maintaining compliance with The Joint Commission, New York State and all other regulatory agencies as applicable. The Director acts as a liaison between providers and staff and is responsible for directing all operations and administrative functions in both departments. The Director is authorized to make independent judgements on all operational issues that affect daily work.
The Director demonstrates excellence in problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility, and teamwork. The Director provides leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment. The Director collaborates with administrators and other members of the health care team to design, evaluate, and improve patient care systems and processes. The Director works closely with network partners and the Network Vice President of Radiology for strategic plans and equipment needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1.Associate degree in Allied Health or related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
2.ARRT (American Registry of Radiological Technologists) certification OR current NYS Registered Nurse
3.BLS certification preferred, or obtained within 6 months of hire.
4.5 years radiology OR 3 years ICU/cardiac experience required; 2 years management experience preferred.
5.Understanding of Radiology Information System (RIS), and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), and Epic preferred.
6.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop diverse teams.
7.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and healthcare standards applicable to radiology and cardiopulmonary services.
9.Proficient in budget management and resource allocation.
10.Commitment to continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
