Triangle Inc. Employment Specialist (Bi-lingual in Spanish Required) in Malden, Massachusetts
Position: Workforce Development / Employment Specialist
Reports to : Program Coordinator (Supervisory)
Hours: 40 hours per week; Non-Exempt
Location: Malden, Salem

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Equips people across the disability spectrum with needed career advancement support such as career planning, job development and support with applications. Also provides support to overcome other barriers to employment
Creates an inviting, exciting and innovative job search environment, meeting regularly in person or via Zoom
Effectively provide all five Pre-ETS components (i.e. Job Exploration Counseling, Work Readiness Training, Work Based Learning Experience, Counseling in Post-Secondary Education and Self-Advocacy Training) to students 14-22 years old in schools or over Zoom.
Provides Pre-ETS training by consistently following Triangle’s curriculum
Creates a safe, engaging, learning environment for Pre-ETS students
Communicates effectively, creates and manages strong relationships with students, teachers, other school staff, and others from student’s support teams such as families and guardians.
Consistently connects with community employers in order to secure competitive jobs for clients
Collaborates effectively with people with disabilities and their support teams (i.e., educators, parents, group homes, counselors, clinical professionals) to provide clear pathways to career track employment, or advance in existing careers
Assists with applications, assessments, conducts evaluations and provides follow up as needed
Completes required service documentation reviews and monthly reports.
Ensures appropriate communication with Workforce Development Team
Communicates regularly with referring Vocational Rehabilitation counselors to discuss individuals’ progress and develop proactive plan to remove barriers to employment
Assists individuals receiving services in obtaining competitive employment that is aligned with career goals
Provides follow-up support to individual clients once placed in a job
Meets programming goals for billable activities
Responsible for tracking and sharing all job leads
Enters billable activities in the Virtual Gateway (Enterprise Invoice Management / Enterprise Service Management) for case load
Demonstrated a successful placement rate
Coordinates projects as necessary, to terms written into grants, to ensure clients success (i.e. scheduling exploration events for students, hosting a job fair, or scheduling a CNA exam
Provides case management support to ensure systemic barriers do not impede individuals from reaching employment goals (i.e. connecting clients to resources such as childcare or discounted MBTA use)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Spanish speaking
High school diploma required
Experience in the field preferred
Must have valid Driver's License and a clear driving record
First Aid and CPR or willingness to become certified
Must clear state and federal background check
Language Skills
Ability to verbally communicate, read, analyze, interpret, and write documents
Ability to respond and navigate common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies, or family members
