Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, erosion & sediment control, and associated civil engineering activities

Develop design plans, profiles and details

Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans

Perform quantity takeoffs

Prepare basis of design narratives

Perform water quality and quantity calculations

Prepare specifications and contract documents

Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures

Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed

Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position

Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed

Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

5+ years experience in general civil engineering

PE

Demonstrated leadership and communication skills

Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Siteworks

Experience with stormwater design modeling programs such as HydroCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Storm & Sanitary Analysis, Hecras, etc

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Good verbal and written communication skills

An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Primary position location: Mahwah, NJ. Other locations: White Plains. NY or New York City

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who reside locally are preferred. Note that our Mahwah office has recently relocated to Woodcliff Lake, NJ. This is the preferred location for this position.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $73,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
