Position Overview:
We are seeking a Planning and Scheduling Specialist or Senior Planning and Scheduling Specialist to support the maintenance and operational excellence of this vital hydroelectric facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities essential to optimizing the performance of critical physical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:
Collaborate with plant teams to analyze, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities.
At the Senior level, take full ownership of long- and short-range work plans and schedules.
Maintenance Strategy & Optimization:
Utilize maintenance management software to recommend cost-effective strategies.
Support evaluations of current maintenance programs and propose improvements.
Outage Coordination:
Develop detailed outage work packages, including schedules, parts lists, and clearance requests.
Actively support outage activities for timely and cost-effective execution.
Materials Procurement & Coordination:
Identify and acquire necessary parts and services.
Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
Continuous Improvement:
Assist in updating and improving maintenance procedures.
Support the development of new protocols for predictive and preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
Specialist Level: 2+ years of experience in plant maintenance or operations in an industrial environment.
Senior Specialist Level: 5+ years of experience in plant maintenance or operations in an industrial environment.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices for electric generation plant operations.
Familiarity with plant mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Proficiency with maintenance management software and scheduling tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Frequent work in indoor (office) and outdoor (plant) environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
Regular use of computers for planning and documentation.
Occasional travel within the service territory and ability to adapt to variable schedules, including on-call shifts.
Physical ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs., navigate uneven or unstable surfaces climb ladders (over 10 rungs)

Compensation Range:
$72,900.00 - $145,375.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
