(Referral amounts prorated based on FTE) The Registered Nurse (RN) - Urgent Care provides patient education and telephone triage via the Nurse Advice Center and RN assistance to patients and Urgent Care staff in the clinic. The incumbent also assesses patient needs, fulfills team patient care needs, acts as a resource to team patient care staff, and participates in departmental support functions. The Registered Nurse - Urgent Care may be assigned to serve in a charge nurse rotation, providing leadership and guidance to the Urgent Care staff. The incumbent is regularly exposed to blood borne pathogens, diseases, and cleaning/sterilization solutions. The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Clinic Manager. Additionally, the Registered Nurse - Urgent Care receives direction, guidance and supervision from the Assistant Clinic Manager. Practitioner staff may delegate activities to a Registered Nurse that are within the RN scope of practice.
