Role Overview
Physicians (MD or DO), as collaborators, are an essential role within Bluestone Physician Services. By partnering with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and the integrated care team this role allows Bluestone to further expand care models and improve patient care. The focus of the collaborative physician is to be available to the advanced practice provider and integrated care team for clinical support and guidance in the ongoing management of our chronically ill complex patient population and to support the growth and quality of our organization.
Collaborate with Advance Practice Providers who work in assisted living and memory care communities.
Able to respond to phone consultative requests within 2 hours
Provide in person, onsite scheduled consultative care (approx. 2 days per week & 14 visits per/day)
Collaborative/Consultative Physicians do not manage their own panel of patients
Easy technology to effectively communicate between the physician and advanced practice provider(s)
Ideal for physicians who want to ease out of a day-to-day clinical practice but who still want to be connected to patient care or for those seeking moonlighting opportuntities.
This is a 1099 position
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency training program
Board Certified or board prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
Licensed or ability to practice within the state of Wisconsin
Ability to maintain DEA certification for the State of Wisconsin
Proven ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
