UW MEDICAL FOUNDATION Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in MADISON, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Outpatient Podiatry - 36168 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 100% FTE, Monday - Friday, days. You will work at the 1 South Park Clinic and East Medical Center Clinic in Madison, WI. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you\'ll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to: * Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient podiatry clinic * Work collaboratively within a team consisting of physicians, medical assistants, and RNs * Perform history and physical, pre and post-operative evaluations, develop, manage and modify treatment plans. * Serve patient populations of pathologic bunions, hammer toes, ingrown nails, heel pain, surgical patients and work collaboratively with Vascular Surgery and the Wound Care Team in caring for wound patients. * Perform procedures such as; wound debridement, TCC placement, suture removal, cortisone injections, splint removal. * See patients in follow-up for routine post-op care and manage complications related to surgery. If Nurse Practitioner*: * Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND * Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gero Primary Care, Adult/Gero Acute Care, Adult, or Family All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. *Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
