Position Overview The Metrology Service - Intern will partner with the service team to service custom and off-the-shelf laboratory instrumentation and equipment and work on administrative related tasks/projects. This role will be responsible for assisting with, assembly, installation, calibration, routine maintenance, investigation and diagnosis of failures, repair, requalification, and filing service reports. Essential Duties Install instruments and perform installation and operational qualifications. Investigate and diagnose failures with installed instruments and equipment. Troubleshoot activities and repair instruments and equipment to service specifications. Maintain program for preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration of laboratory equipment. Complete assigned projects in a timely manner. Essential Skills: Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to use troubleshooting skills to help identify and diagnose equipment failure. Must be highly organized and able to produce high quality work as a part of a team. Excellent organization and communication skills. Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.
