Catalent Pharma Solutions Manager - Proposals in Madison, Wisconsin

The Manager, Proposals provides support to the Proposal Lead team to ensure successful performance of each member of the team and maintain a small proposal load as an individual contributor. The Manager, Proposals, is expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate technical and commercial input into proposals, applying one’s own technical knowledge and the input from key stakeholders and the client.

The role:

  • Lead the proposal process and liaise with Program Management, Business Development, Commercial Operations, clients, and key site stakeholders on the timely generation of and pricing for proposals, change orders, and SOWs.

  • Lead alignment of business processes across BioModalities business units.

  • Participate in technical review meetings with prospective clients and current partners to collect relevant information required to draft comprehensive proposals and review drafted proposals throughout the lifecycle of an opportunity.

  • Lead internal technical review meetings to ensure alignment with site capabilities and capacity and transition proposals into executable SOWs.

  • Provide support to Business Development, Commercial Operations, and Project Management on strategy and/or negotiation of proposals/SOWs.

  • Collaborate with the Proposals team member by providing appropriate oversight in preparation and pricing of proposals for new business opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree, science focused, required.

  • 5+ years of work experience in a related position and industry.

  • 3+ years of hands-on proposal development and writing experience in a clinical, science or pharmaceutical field required.

  • Experience as a people leader.

  • Superior customer service experience/skills, professional demeanor, and strong business acumen.

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

  • Must comply with EHS responsibilities for the position.
