JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: 1. Teach one or more of the following courses: Art 428: Digital Imaging Studio: Explore current and historical practices in the digital fine arts while refining conceptual and technical understanding of digital art forms as powerful tools for generating and communicating images and ideas. Students will create and manipulate both static and moving imagery, with implications for digital drawing, painting, print-making, video editing/post-production, and narrative or non-narrative 2D animation in a fine art context. Art 429: 3D Digital Studio: Introduction to three-dimensional modeling in the computer, in particular, the use of 3D digital models for the creation of images and objects using a wide range of modeling and animation tools using software like Maya. Class Content should cover keyframe animation in Adobe After Effect, rigging, and dynamics where students create several animated videos. 2. Maintain current awareness of theory, concepts, principles, techniques, and conventions applicable to assigned academic art courses. Stay current in academic or program discipline. Experience using course management systems such as Canvas and be able to convert to online instruction is a benefit to the position. 3. Plan, organize and develop instructional materials including presentations, lectures, demonstrations, homework assignments, laboratory exercises and project assignments consistent with approved course outlines; teach courses utilizing sound pedagogical methods and instructional strategies most appropriate to communicating subject matter to students to meet learning objectives; modify, as necessary, instructional methods to meet diverse student needs; participate in the development, assessment, and evaluation of student learning outcomes; use available instructional technologies such as the internet, online learning and interactive technologies to enrich and facilitate student learning. 4. Provide prompt feedback on student assignments; evaluate student performance fairly and consistently; assign grades and maintain course/student records in accordance with University of Wisconsin-Madison standards, policies and procedures; submit and...
