JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Office of Compliance advances compliance with applicable laws and policies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We collaborate with University partners to minimize compliance risk and promote ethical conduct throughout the University. Compliance is a shared responsibility, with every member of the University understanding their responsibilities and being accountable for their actions. In response to the increased Title VI enforcement, new digital accessibility regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, expected expansion of Title IX regulations, and other related federal compliance mandates, the Office of Compliance is conducting a search for a Lead Case Manager to support new compliance functions. Reporting to the Associate Director of Civil Rights Compliance and Title IX Coordinator, the Lead Case Manager is responsible for monitoring incoming reports of protected class discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment and sexual violence, and other complaints related to federal and state civil rights laws and related University policy. The Lead Case Manager oversees at least three case managers who are responsible for making initial contact with potential complainants and providing them with relevant resources, reporting information and protective measures when requested. The Case Managers also work to provide necessary accommodations to complainant and respondents, explains policies and procedures, conduct informal resolutions, engage in settlement agreements, and are a point of contact during formal investigations. The Lead Case Manager will support centralizing, coordinating and overseeing the initial response to all disclosures made to or forwarded to the Office of Compliance regarding Title VI discrimination, other protected-class discrimination, sexual harassment/sexual violence, and hostile and intimidating behavior; provide consultation and guidance to campus partners; assign disclosures to OC case managers and/or refer to campus partners for follow-up and support; provide overflow case management as needed; conduct initial hostile environment evaluations for all disclosures made to or forwarded to the...
