Aimbridge Hospitality Hotel Front Desk Supervisor in Madison, Wisconsin
Job Summary
The Residence Inn Madison is looking for a new leader for our front desk team!
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager while providing attentive courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. He/she is also responsible for maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
2-3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field required
High school diploma or equivalent required
College coursework in related field helpful
Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
Must have valid driver's license for applicable state
Clear communication skills required
Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Ability to handle stressful, high-pressure situations, including guest objections and disputes
Ability to show initiative and anticipate needs
Effective problem-solving skills required
Ability to understand and work with financial information and data
Must be able to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
Responsibilities not limited but to include:
Approach guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance.
Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations.
Set the standard for guest relations at the Front Desk and obtain necessary information when taking room reservations.
Monitor VIP and special guest requests, review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
Fully comprehend and execute all relevant phases of the front desk computer system.
Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
Be familiar with all in-house groups and all rates, packages, and promotions currently underway.
Oversee and ensure that all guests are checked in/out in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
Assist in training of new hires and current associates on a regular basis, and attend meetings as required by management.
Additional Information
Pay: $18.00 per hour
