WHEDA is seeking an Event Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications Department in our Madison facility. SALARY: Hiring Range for this position is from \$55,987 to \$68,798 Annually. Offered Salary will be based on qualifications and internal pay equity. POSITION OVERVIEW: The position of Event Specialist is responsible for delivering events that build business relationships, promote WHEDA products and services, and amplify the Authority\'s brand and strategic priorities ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsible for all aspects of event preparation including identifying requirements; developing event goals and themes; preparing event budgets; researching and booking venues; and organizing suppliers, caterers, and staff. Acts as the primary point of contact for coordinating internal and external WHEDA events including registration, venue preparation, technology requirements, speaking points, promotion, photography, and all event logistics. Manages and executes WHEDA\'s annual conference within budget requirements including registration, sponsorships, exhibitor marketplace, food service, scheduling speakers, marketing, and venue logistics. Manages event calendar and timelines to ensure all event details are completed on time and within budget. Plans for potential scenarios and contingencies to ensure the successful completion of events. Coordinates vendor contracts and invoice processing according to WHEDA\'s procurement policy.
