The Data Visualization Engineer 2 builds user interfaces, visualizations, and data algorithms. Takes complex data and making it more accessible, understandable and usable for leaders to derive insights and ultimately enable them to make the better business decisions. The Data Visualization Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Data Visualization Engineer 2:

  • May work with stakeholders to perform data analytics and write software.

  • Assists in the development of our cloud-based analytics platform.

  • Builds interactive visualizations and front-end software applications for stakeholder engagement.

  • Can perform analytics based on stakeholder needs.

  • Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

  • Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

  • Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and/or related field

  • 2 - 5 years of professional experience performing data analytics and building user interfaces, visualizations, and data algorithms

  • Minimum of 2 years developing on SQL and SSIS.

  • Minimum of 2 years developing SQL objects (Tables, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views etc.

  • Minimum of 2 years developing and deploying SSIS Packages.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a BI/DW professional or Qlik Sense Developer.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Qlik Sense development, complex dashboards, data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with data transformation, the creation of QVD files, and set analysis.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with front-end development applying best practices for visualizations.

  • Experience taking complex data and making it more accessible, understandable and usable for leaders to derive insights

  • Clear oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexible, dynamic personality who works well in a team environment

  • Individual contributor that can work independently

  • Strong time-management, critical thinking, and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and/or related field

  • Healthcare or managed care experience

  • Experience analyzing existing SQL queries for performance improvements.

  • Experience developing SQL in an agile project management setting.

  • Understanding of relational database management systems.

  • Knowledge of database design principles and best practices

  • Ability to write complex SQL Stored Procedures and T-SQL queries.

  • Experience working with or developing in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik NPrinting.

  • Experience creating Qlik Sense master dimensions, measures, and visualizations.

  • Experience with reporting and creating metrics for management

  • Experience with data mining, predictive modeling techniques and using data to drive business outcomes and decisions

Work at Home Guidance

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$65,000 - $89,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
