DESTINATION MADISON Content Manager in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Destination Madison is seeking a Content Manager to lead the development and execution of business-to-business (B2B) content initiatives that position our capital city as a premiere destination for meetings, conventions, and sports events. This role will be keenly focused on driving awareness, conversion, and loyalty in the industry by aligning with strategic brand marketing plans, creating content calendars, and executing content across various channels and platforms. Success in this role will require the ability to balance multiple internal clients; generate creative ideas driven by a marketing mindset; and create compelling content for a variety of social, digital and print media in the B2B space. As a member of Destination Madison\'s Brand Marketing team, this full-time, salaried position is internally classified as a Marketing Manager and reports to a Senior Marketing Manager or higher. Duties and Responsibilities Use Brand Guides, Signature Stories and Advisory Board/External Consultant resources to inform high-level digital and social content plans and execution. Adapt high-level content strategies into a full-year B2B content plan that maximizes staff/budget efficiencies and Destination Madison exposure. Own creation and execution of B2B content calendar. Maintain expertise in content creation best practices, trends and industry data; use insights to develop effective content that aligns with brand standards and grows KPIs. Attend regular team meetings with internal clients and conduct competitive analysis to deepen understanding of the day-to-day challenges and opportunities for those clients. Use this information to create well-informed, innovative campaign and copy concepts. Lead 360-degree development of strategic, business-focused content campaigns to include verbal direction, marketing plan, collaboration on graphic assets, writing social and marketing tactics, platform integration, evaluating vendor and association deliverables, and providing internal or external presentations as needed. Collaborate with graphic designer, video editor, content creators and external vendors on concepting and execution of B2B marketing campaign assets. Partner with PR team in evaluating influencers/creators, maintaining budget and defining deliverables that will help achieve key KPIs. Perform other duties as assigned to serve the interests of the Brand Marketing team and Destination Madison as an organization. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities Required Effective communication skills across a variety of settings, audiences, and channels, including demonstrated copywriting skills for a variety of formats and media. Primarily perform work in our downtown Madison office, with flexibility to work remotely based on job duties and current organizational policies. Work with frequent interruption and sit for long periods of time. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 35 pounds. Occasionally move around the office and access or use computers, office equipment, telephone, and any other pertinent supplies, space or equipment used to perform the duties of the position. Occasional evening and weekend work required for travel, events and organization functions. Local travel for partner visits, content creation and event representation is required. Compensation & Benefits The expected pay range for this position is \$55,000 to \$62,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
