JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description POSITION PURPOSE: The Banquet Manager will ensure all guests\' needs are consistently met or exceeded by maintaining all aspects of the banquet, executive lounge and in room dining operations. This includes being actively involved in the day to day maintenance and coordination of banquet rooms by providing the necessary set-up, upkeep, break down, and cleaning function policies and procedures. Process Banquet Bills on a daily basis. Enforce all policies and procedures. Other priorities consist of ensuring food and beverage quality, exceeding hotel service standards and training all banquet team members. The perfect candidate will lead by example and guide their team to success by maintaining focus over delivering profitability and exceptional guest service. This position requires professional leadership and administration, effective and fair personnel development, and maintaining the highest standards resulting in increasing teamwork and morale. Another focus of this key operations role will be on monitoring and managing department expenses as banquets and the executive lounge continuously contribute to property revenue growth. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline banquet staff for the efficient operation of banquet events, executive lounge and in room dining. Organize and conduct pre-shift and monthly departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as hotel occupancy, event schedules and BEO changes. Schedule and direct staff in their work assignment. * Attend all BEO meetings * Back-up for Restaurant Manager as needed * Work with the culinary team to ensure proper pick-up and delivery of food. * Be able to set up and manage varies types of banquet events * Interact positively with guests promoting hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties. * Maintain profitability of departments to support the hotel operations. Control payroll and equipment costs. Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies. * Ability to understand and react to the P&L statement and all other pertinent financial documents. * Utilize POS computer to accurately charge customers, close banquet checks and review revenue reports. * Implementing and maintaining housekeeping, sanitation and cleanliness standards in all areas. * Maintaining a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and self-image with yourself as well as subordinates. * Knowing the sales and events competition and keeping current with industry trends. * Directing and coordinating the activities of all assigned personnel and departmental responsibilities. * Ensuring the highest quality of food and beverage, and service related to the operation. * Understand and Implement the Marcus and Hilton F&B Standards in your areas. * Maintain...
