JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks to hire a faculty member with expertise in advanced semiconductor materials and devices (microelectronics or optoelectronics) for energy-efficient computing, control, power conversion, communications, lighting, or sensing applications. Device technologies of interest include transistors, light-emitting diodes, lasers, photodetectors and on-chip photonics, and photovoltaics that leverage new 3D architectures and new nanomaterials, some of which are considered exotic today (e.g., oxide semiconductors, 2D semiconductors, perovskites, diamond, etc.). The successful candidate will lead research innovations that address the extraordinary demands for intelligence and sensing embedded in nearly every aspect of daily life, and the urgent need for energy efficiency in the underlying electronics. Outstanding candidates at both the Assistant and Associate Professor rank will be considered.
