American Family Insurance - Corporate Associate Print Mail Scan Technician (Primarily Office) in Madison, Wisconsin

Join our dynamic team and play a vital role in our mail and print services! You'll handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Operate and maintain a variety of printing and finishing equipment to produce high-quality documents. You'll set up and operate, digital print, and postage metering equipment, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of client statements, confirmations, checks, and reports.

Position Compensation Range:

$23.00 - $30.76

Pay Rate Type:

Hourly

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Performs equipment set up, operation, and maintenance for all equipment in designated area, including digital print, mail inserting machines, or others as needed.

  • Programs complex job specifications to equipment and use software to record, analyze, and organize job data.

  • Performs daily maintenance on equipment, contact service technicians, and coordinate service for equipment problems. Manually or mechanically make necessary adjustments to correspond with daily work needs.

  • Assists with developing/updating standard work for all processes, including operation, safety, and quality control.

  • Trains and instruct other employees in the processes and operation of equipment for the area.

  • Completes mail activities which include pick up, delivery, sorting, receiving, and tracking.

  • Ensure proper quality and color is achieved and maintained. Visually inspect images for imperfections and make adjustments as necessary.

  • Achieve proficiency in and utilize several vendor supplied software control and operating systems.

  • Monitor inventory and order as necessary

  • Performs indexing accountabilities: Verifies quality of images. Checks for completeness and records necessary values.

  • Accurately inputs required data to properly route documents.

  • Notifies the appropriate individual of availability of the scanned document. Utilizes various internal systems to properly identify and route documents. Properly routes various electronically received documents

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions, support or service.

  • Solid knowledge of print/scanning/mail technology.

  • Demonstrated experience with print/mail equipment and processes for the designated area.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail through accuracy and completeness of information.

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative support or customer service role.

  • Basic knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in various PC software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Acrobat).

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%.

Physical Requirements

  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

In this primarily office-based role, you will be expected to spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from one of the following office locations(s): Madison, WI 53783

Shift Details: 7am – 5:05pm Monday – Friday with a Tuesday off each week.
