14233BRDepartment Name:FRD Greenbush Garden Bistro Location:Meriter Hospital Job Description: This Assistant Cook position is directly under the Lead Cook and fills in for the lead cook when necessary. This position is responsible for the supervision of other staff members and does take the lead in the afternoon when lead cook and/or manager are absent.

    Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1-3 years short order grill and prep experience

  • Servsafe Certified within 6 months of hire

  • Verbal, written, math skills. Follow recipes, proper storage, safe food handling and knife skills. Sanitation knowledge.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training through food service courses, culinary training

  • 3-7 years working in food service

  • Servsafe Certified

  • Recipe conversion, high math skills
