Job Description Summary

A GE HealthCare Project Leader Co-op will provide effective project communication and coordination across multiple disciplines including Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Fulfillment, Regulatory, and Supplier Quality.

You will work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities in Project Planning, program budget management, resource planning, tracking and mitigating program risks, while ensuring the project expectations for scope, quality, cost, and timing are met.

A Project Leader Co-op will be mentored and guided by an experienced Program Manager or Lead program integrator (LPI).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support the Program Manager, ensure execution of multiple projects related to a product line.

• Proactively manage cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and avoid gaps/delays in execution.

• Anticipate integration issues and discern appropriate actions to progress the team forward.

• Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting.

• Work together with business leadership, specifying project needs and communicating status.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (in a 4.0 scale)

  2. High self-confidence.

  3. Proven leadership skills and experience.

  4. Strong initiative and ability to deliver results.

  5. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.

  6. Able to work for a minimum of 28 weeks.

  7. Must be a full-time student pursuing a degree in Engineering or Business.

Desired Characteristics:

  1. Prior intern or co-op experience in design engineering, business, law, or manufacturing.

  2. Data analytics and budget management skills.

  3. Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving.

  4. Proven ability to adapt to difficult situations.

  5. Demonstrated leadership skills and community involvement.
