Robert Half's Madison team has partnered with a growing distribution company in Madison in their search for an Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services, managing tax compliance, and supporting corporate tax and reporting. The ideal candidate will be a CPA and have 3+ years of strong accounting experience, some within tax. Strong benefits and hybrid capabilities available! Responsibilities:

• Managing a wide range of accounting services, including the production of monthly financial statements and payroll processing

• Handling the preparation of sales and use tax returns, and annual corporate/personal tax returns

• Assisting with tax filings and reporting for corporate accounting, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations

• Guiding and supervising associates on payroll, financial reporting, tax preparation and various projects

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience with accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of auditing procedures

• Experience in Tax Reporting and Financial Reporting

• Ability to handle Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Journal Entries, and Month-end Reports

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA preferred
