Immediate need

Summary *of * Position:** Runs production equipment and performs other tasks as assigned by a supervisor or manager to produce saleable product.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Operate production equipment and perform other tasks to make saleable product.

2. Ensure product quality.

3. Perform equipment, tooling, and product line changeovers.

4. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.

5. Log manufacturing data in Manufacturing Databases.

6. Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery if requested or required.

7. Communicate with operators from other shifts, if applicable.

8. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Wear appropriate PPE when required.

9. Other duties as requested or assigned.

    

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Manual dexterity.
3. Able to lift up to 30 pounds (60 if employed for pressing or powder manufacturing).
4. Able to pass a drug test.
5. Able to perform repetitive tasks.
6. Ability to read and interpret drawings and use basic hand held measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers is a plus.
7. Willing to learn on the job and willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance. 
8. Team-player with excellent people and communication skills.

Experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train.

This is a day shift, Monday through Friday position.
