Aerotek Press Brake Operator in Machesney Park, Illinois

Aerotek is hiring multiple Press Brake Operators!

We are seeking a skilled operator for our bending/press brake machines. This role involves interpreting blueprints, ensuring parts meet specifications, and maintaining an organized workspace. Key responsibilities include machine setup, operation, tooling changes, job uploads, first piece inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate bending/press brake machines.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Pull and interpret prints to ensure parts match specifications.

  • Organization: Maintain an organized workspace and keep all parts together.

  • Tooling Changes: Change tooling as needed.

  • Job Uploads: Upload jobs into the machine interface.

  • Quality Control: Perform first piece inspections.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues.

  • Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance.

  • Precision Work: Perform precision forming, bending, and folding.

  • Measurement: Use and read measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, protractors, and tape measures.

  • Accuracy: Add and subtract measurements accurately.

  • Metal Bending: Bend a variety of metals including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Work Environment

  • Shift Details: 4 open positions for the 3rd shift: Monday - Thursday from 3:30 pm - 2:00 am and Friday from 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Training on the 1st shift for 1 - 2 weeks is required.

  • Facility Conditions: The facility can be hot in the summer but has open doors for ventilation. It is clean, and all necessary tools are provided.

  • Safety: Safety is a top priority.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
